If you love scouting flea markets, but not driving from place to place, St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston should be on your agenda.

A special “treasure” or item to “re-purpose or recylce” might be waiting for you!

The Flea Market is in the lower level of the church.  Entrance by stairway only.   Off Main Street from side parking lot.

The line forms early Saturday morning outside the church.   Arrive early if you must, or any time either day.  There will be plenty to explore both days.     Doors open at 9:00 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

We are Known for Our Traditional Ethnic Food

Very popular is the variety of homemade ethnic food.  Featured are St. Michael’s “among the best in the area” halupki or stuffed cabbage, better known by locals as “piggies”.  There will also be homemade pierogi – more typically spelled “pirohi” by the Carpatho-Rusyn descendants among parishioners of church.  But don’t forget to sample the haluski (sauteed noodles and cabbage), or try a combo ethnic sampler of all three.  Potato pancakes will be available also.

The featured ziti dinner is a generous amount of pasta with homemade sauce and meatballs, salad and bread.  Saturday (12 noon to 4pm) and Sunday (10am to 3pm).  Donation cost is $12.00 for Adults and $7.00 for Children, tickets can be purchased at the door.  Takeout only.

Don’t forget to check out the sweets at the Bake Sale tent, Saturday only.  You are sure to find everything temptingly delicious!

Our Parishioners and Parish volunteers look forward to seeing returning and new friends alike.
